Diddy’s Ex-Head of Security Speaks Out
As more women come forward to sue rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, his ex-head of security has opened up about how he had saved many people from his former boss’s wrath.
On 16 November, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, filed a $30-million lawsuit against him, in which she accused him of repeatedly raping, assaulting and trafficking her during their 11-year relationship. The suit was settled a day later.
Since then, three more women have accused the 54-year-old “Last Night” hitmaker of enacting similar crimes.
On Wednesday, 29 November, Roger Bonds – who used to work as Diddy’s head of security for several years – spilled the beans about his former boss’s abusive behaviour in an Instagram video. He also detailed trying to stop Diddy from beating Cassie in a car in 2009.
“Cassie spoke on it. She said yeah, I jumped on it,” Bonds is heard explaining. “I jumped in between it. That wasn’t the only time. It was other times and it was other people.”
Afflicted with diabetes, Bonds says he used his illness as an excuse to leave his job, but in reality, he was “sick of [Diddy].”
“I was sick of everything that was going on around you,” he addresses his former boss. “I was sick of having to cover up everything that you did. I was sick.”
